Rock Werchter Welcomes Dance

(Werchter, BE) - Although the name of the festival suggests otherwise, this year’s edition of the Belgian Rock Werchter event comes with another load of renowned dance acts. Representing the electronic side of music on the site are Underworld, Justice, Moby and Chemical Brothers among others.
Electronic music is rapidly becoming a more important aspect of the two day festival. Whereas the event started out as a pure rock based happening, the past few years have seen the inclusion of lauded dance acts such as Roger Sanchez, Scissor Sisters and LCD Soundsystem to the lineup. This year’s edition sees the festival focusing on in fashion rock/electronica crossovers, with performances by the likes of Digitalism, Justice, Underworld, Chemical Brothers and 2Many DJ’s.
Rock Werchter, held annualy over the first weekend of July in the small town of Werchter, Belgium, is widely regarded as one of the most progressive festivals in Europe. The event is known for presenting a more than interesting program for both rock as dance aficionado’s and attracts thousands of international visitors. The

Tickets are available for EURO 75 (per day), and EUR 165 (weekend pass, excluding
camp site fee)
